About Me

Here is Licheng Luo (罗立城). I am a second-year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, fortunately advised by Prof. Mingyu Cai. Previously, I received my M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia (advised by Prof. Shangtong Zhang), and my B.Eng. in Electronic Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (advised by Prof. Xin Yang). My research lies at the intersection of robot learning, formal methods, and motion planning. I am especially interested in making symbolic specifications — particularly spatio-temporal logic — differentiable, so that geometric and temporal task structure can be plugged directly into reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and policy evaluation pipelines.
